You like the music of your Amstrad CPC? You want to listen to it at work or everywhere where internet is available without loading the game, demo, etc. on your real CPC? You want to discover “new” artists and listen to music specials dedicated to a special artist? You just like to hear chiptunes and want to listen to them 24 hours a day? If you can answer any of this questions with “Yes!”, then don’t hesitate and listen to Roland Radio, a new streaming radio station by Kangaroo Musique dedicated to the Amstrad CPC.
The voting phase is over and 38 people voted for their favourite demos and productions in various categories. I guess that we have a big winner this year: the Breaking Baud demo by Doz / CRTC/ 3LN. Head over to Push’n’Pop and see the result by yourself and don’t forget to have a look at the demos and productions on real hardware again :-).
Like last year, Push’n’Pop creates charts of the best releases for our beloved Amstrad CPC in 2014. And – like last year – you can again participate and vote for your favourite production in the categories demo, intro, game, technical achievement, graphics and soundtrack. The votes are open till the 31st January 2015, so don’t hesitate and fill out the form at Push’n’Pop (you need to be logged in).
Norecess did some interviews during Xmas and put them on his website. This time, he interviewed BSC of Symbiosis (Soundtrakker, AYAY Kaeppttn), Made of Bomb (graphician for many CPC demos) and Thriller of Cadjo Clan (demomaker).
You can find the interviews here:
BSC, probably best known for his Soundtrakker, just released the source code of a new music tracker, which is also capable to play SID voices on the Amstrad CPC. Currently the graphical user interface is quite rudimentary, but the tracker is useable, produces an awesome sound and hey… after the source code release, you can write a GUI by yourself :-).
Well, the following audio examples stand for themselves:
You can get the source code and a snapshot for an emulator from GitHub. The technical discussion is available in the CPC Wiki forums including a description of the keyboard shortcuts.
